The Leadership Education and Development (LEAD) Office and Diversity, Inclusion, and Multicultural Education +LGBTQ Resources are pleased to host the first ever Mason First Gen Leadership Summit at George Mason University, specifically designed for Mason students who identify as first generation college students. The summit is a one-day program focusing on leadership skill development through both large and small group experiences. Participants will have a chance to engage and connect with other first generation college students around leadership, ethics, diversity, identity development, inclusion, and well-being.
As a result of participating in the 2019 Mason First Gen Leadership Summit
- Engage with summit participants in discussions around leadership, ethics, diversity, identity development, inclusion, and well-being
- Identify at least one new relationship they established while participating in the summit
- Describe at least one way that can promote positive social change
- Identify two or more components of the social change model and how it connects directly to leadership, ethics, diversity, identity development, inclusion, and well-being
