Serve

  • 2017 Family Weekend Day of Service

The LEAD Office is committed to providing sustainable service and outreach to the community.  We partner closely with Social Action and Integrative Learning and several other student organizations and departments on campus to provide sustainable service and outreach.

Sustainable Service and Outreach

  • We have an ongoing partnership with Hampton Middle School through which we go to their school four Fridays each semester to facilitate workshops that we create. This is a great opportunity to volunteer with a Title 1 school, teach kids about leadership, and develop facilitation skills. In the spring, we host an all-day leadership conference at the school as well, which has more volunteer opportunities. Click here for more information.
  • The LEAD Office has partnered with the Mason LIFE program for the past 2 years hosting leadership workshops for the students in the Mason LIFE program.  Our Leadership Consultants along with members from our L-TEAM help to facilitate workshops for students focusing on team building, communication, problem solving, goal setting, and leadership development.  The Mason LIFE Program is an innovative post-secondary program for young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who desire a university experience in a supportive academic environment. • Various days of service –  LEAD regularly hosts small service projects at the various service days that are held on campus.
